Landscape Management earns 11 awards from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association

CLEVELAND, Ohio — May 22, 2014 — North Coast Media is pleased to announce Landscape Management (LM) continues to be recognized for its outstanding editorial excellence and design by the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA) earning 11 honors at TOCA’s annual awards ceremony held in New Orleans. These results continue LM’s seven-year run of winning more awards than its competing publications and more awards than any industry publication in the 25-year history of TOCA.

LM’s sister publication Golfdom reaped a total of 21 awards: 19 TOCA awards, one Gardner award and the Plant Health Writer of the Year award. North Coast Media once again led all publishing companies that competed for TOCA awards in the golf and landscape markets with 31 awards.

There were more than 425 entries submitted to the 2014 TOCA contest. LM’s 11 honors included:

  • First place for Cover Page Design (June 2013), Tracie Martinez and LM Staff;
  • Merit for Overall Magazine Design (December 2013), Tracie Martinez and LM Staff;
  • First place for Overall Company Web Design (for landscapemanagement.net), LM Staff;
  • Merit for Blogs (for The LM Blog), LM Staff;
  • Merit for Websites (for landscapemanagement.net), LM Staff;
  • Merit for Innovative Use of Social Media, LM Staff;
  • Merit for Writing for commercial publications, headline writing (for “B the Change” from the May 2013 issue), Marisa Palmieri;
  • Merit for Writing for commercial publications, headline writing (for “Applied knowledge” from the December 2013 issue), Marisa Palmieri;
  • Merit for Writing for special projects (for “The Industry Pulse 2013” from the October 2013 issue), Marisa Palmieri and Sarah Pfledderer;
  • Merit for Writing for special projects (for the “LM150” from the June 2013 issue), LM Staff; and
  • First place for Podcasts (for Landscape Live!), Jody Shilan and LM Staff.
