In addition, Karl Danneberger, Ph.D., was named Plant Health Writer of the Year. Sponsored by Bayer, the award is provided annually to a writer for excellence in writing on plant health issues to their green industry audience. Known as “The Turf Doc” within the pages of Golfdom, Danneberger has been a longtime columnist for the magazine and is an internationally respected lecturer and professor of turfgrass at The Ohio State University.

“This is an incredible year for Golfdom. The strong showing at TOCA supports our recent redesign and editorial approach,” said Kevin Stoltman, president and CEO of North Coast Media. “We’ve made significant strides in the market both in print and in the digital environment. It’s worth noting that The Golfdom Daily has won Best Blog for three years in a row.”
